The Great Dream

Please join us for the presentation of my new work ‘The Great Dream’ at the Canadian Opera Company’s Free Concert Series on March 20th at noon. The piece has been in the making for a little while, and I'm excited to share it with you. The Great Dream What if life is just a dream? Would we discover there is no master narrative, no single version of ourselves, but many? Would we be the dreamers and the nightmares? I believe, we all could have been a different version of ourselves from the one we have here today. We could have developed into another direction given the many possibilities and desires that live inside of us. But in the process of deciding and becoming we must leave things behind. I find this fascinating but also unsettling. And that’s where ‘The Great Dream’ began. I wondered, what if we didn’t have to reduce ourselves to a main version or a foreground character? And what if reality were more porous and permeable, allowing dreams and otherness to enter?
